How do I contact you regarding booking a session?
Fill out my contact form or call (617) 945-0743.
Do you have a studio you shoot in?
I am an on-location photographer, which means I typically shoot at your home or a destination that we agree on (ie. park, beach, town center, etc). I work out of a studio office in Huron Village, where I can also host a photo shoot, but my specialty is photographing at places that are more special for my clients.
When do you schedule shoots?
I like to schedule outdoor shoots in the early morning or late afternoon. If it is indoors at a home, anytime during the day is fine.
How long does the photo session last?
Typically about 1-2 hours.
What do our photographers expect from the parents during the session?
If it is a baby or young child being photographed, I require the parent to be present, at least in the beginning. I actually think the parents end up having a lot of fun on these shoots. Sometimes I might ask you to hold a reflector and get you involved. I am pretty talkative, and always enjoy having the parents come up with ideas on the shoots – it sounds cheesy, but parents end up finding their creative side! There is always some time that I spend alone with the child however, as I find this is when they calm down and focus best.
Is your pricing online?
No, please contact Elizabeth for pricing inquiries.
What forms of payment to accept?
Personal checks, cash, and credit cards via Paypal.
Do you offer photography gift certificates?
Yes! And they are GREAT idea for baby showers, birthdays and the holidays – one that is cherished for life.
How long after the shoot will it be until I receive the photographs?
Highlights are posted on my blog and Facebook within 2 weeks, and the full gallery is available within a month.
Do I get a CD?
CDs are available as part of my digital collections. They are not included in the session fee. If you do purchase a digital collection, I include a print credit because all too often the CDs get stuck in drawers and forgotten about!
Do you photograph weddings?
Yes. I only book a select number per year, so my brides definitely receive a lot of attention.
What clothing should be worn?
Click Here – I have a whole page dedicated to this question!
Can we change clothes during the photo session?
For families, I suggest one outfit with different layering options. For single subject portraits, 2 outfits.
What should we bring for our baby and/or child?
A snack, tissues, baby wipes, blanket, and any accessories you want to incorporate!
Do you photograph nude maternity photographs or clothed?
I photograph whatever you are comfortable with! I suggest to start fully clothed and if you want to bare the bump, indulge in some pretty lingerie!
Do you have hair suggestions?
Make sure it is clean. That may seem obvious, but even a day without washing can make hair oily and lose its volume. Bring an elastic band or bobby pins if you want the option to wear it both up and down. Headbands for ladies are always cute!
I wear glasses, do I need to remove them for photos?
I suggest taking them off for some, but not all the photographs.
How should I do my make-up?
Put it on under bright lighting. I always suggest keeping a natural palette. Wear the amount of make up you would typically wear to a special event (this can be a little or a lot , depending on your style).
Should I go to a stylist?
If you want to! I think it generally makes people feel confident and therefore more likely to beam in their photographs. But definitely not a must.
Hope these help. Obviously feel free to contact me with any other questions you might have – I am always adding to this list!
