Today I was humbled to be featured on a fairly new Boston-based web blog/zine that showcases cool activities, businesses and people in our beloved city. Click on the snapped photo from blog below to get to link:
A sweet little nugget of mom and baby boy portraiture. These photos were requested to celebrate Leon’s 100 Days milestone (a traditional Korean birthday). Mom wanted to keep things light, breezy, neutral and intimate at their apartment in Kendall Square. We started in Leon’s nursery and then finished the session on their deck which looks over an amazing view of the Charles River (and red line crossing it over to Boston). Enjoy!
Another amazing trip to sunny Florida for our family. Here are the images I took this year of all my boys, including one self-timer full family portrait that I am pretty pumped about – I think a fair amount of frames will be gifted to extended family shortly… : ) (still, the more quotidian moments of daily life (well, daily vacation life in the warm weather with lots of bare skin) are more precious to me. ..).
What a great photo session I have for you today! This glowing mama-to-be, Julie, and I hit it off during our phone convo (when she said she was thinking a moto jacket and lived in athleisure legging when she could and was an avid runner and dog lover – well, we just clicked). Anyway, she and her husband Thom wanted a chill photo shoot that captured them out and about with their dog baby Harper in their North Cambridge neighborhood. We headed to Danehy Park – it was pretty chilly out though so head home for some warmer, more intimate photos back at their home. Love that Julie was down to bare her amazing bump – so we took some gorgeous portraits of her doing so in the future nursery.
This couple is due any day now, and I wish them the best on the next chapter in their life!
It’s muddy March and weekends are still mostly stuck indoors here in New England. I decided to make a purchase that I did probably too much Amazon review reading over, and splurged on two adjustable height micro-mini scooters for the boys. We did the big reveal on Sunday, and I knew it would be fun to document (our unfinished basement gets really cool light – reminds me of some favorite spooky places I hunted for as a photographer when I was starting out.. Castle much?). It also reminds me of the basement I learned to ride my bike in over the winter of some 80-something… I digress.
Anyway, both Calvin and George (only 18 months!) took to these scooters super quickly! I mean, they aren’t whizzing around yet, but they both can do the basics, Calvin a bit faster than George. Dan took a test drive too (before realizing there is a 70 lb limit, oops). There are actually a couple more of George at the end, hair all sweaty from his helmet, who is truly turning out to be my wild boy – “Hurricane George” we now call him.
Oh, and I am not an affiliate for Micro Kickboard… but thinking maybe I should be…!!
