I have been to post this beautiful session for quite some time!  You may remember three of these subjects from this lovely session at the Lincoln DeCordova 2 years ago.  Well, Nabil joined the family about a year ago, so mom wanted to have updated photos with the family as a whole.  We decided to take these photographs in their hometown of Cambridge (about to move literally next door to my parents – so excited!), so we head to the scenic Radcliffe Gardens.  This is a pretty little enclosed park, great for families with small children who want a green-amidst-the-city look.  From there we head across the street to an AWESOME playground on Cambridge Commons with sand, water play, cool sculptures, and a merry-go-round.  I love how they turned out – but pretty easy with this adorable group ; )

I am now getting geared up for a busy fall with quite a few downtown and Cambridge city sessions.  Can’t wait!!PINPINPINPINPINPINPINPINPINPINPINPINPINPINPINPINPINPIN

If ever there was a quintessential Rockport family photo session, this would have to be it.  Baby Isabella and family were here for a week vacation, to soak up the sun, breath some salty New England seaside air, and eat some ice cream!  I encouraged a session in downtown Rockport so that we could capture this adorable family both on the beach (Front Beach) and taking a stroll in the center for some ice cream.  I am pretty sure all three family members didn’t mind this suggestion.  Isabella was seriously all smiles the whole time – she loved the limelight – and the sand and ice cream and parents’ affection.

Enjoy this scoop of a pretty yummy and sweet family session (and adorable preppy/nautical wardrobe – want mom’s dress)!!

There is something magical about golden hour on the beach.  Especially when a scary storm approaches.  Light is just… amazing.  So is the energy.   People get a little hyped.

So all these ingredients plus a hands-down gorgeous family add up to a pretty awesome photo session.  Oh, and how could I forget, a pair of brother-sister twins!

Mom and Dad have spent most of their years together in the Bay area, but are temporarily living in Boston for career reasons.  They love the beaches out West, and want to have their children share that joy.  So it seemed fitting to Mom to take advantage of my summer beach sessions, and they decided to make a weekend trip of it, booking a room at the Atlantis and enjoying a beach-filled weekend, photo shoot and all.

And then came the storm.  I included some photos at the end.  I had to keep this session moving along, because I was a little freaked out I would be doused, and my camera and all photos on memory card with it lost.  At the beginning of the session there was really only faint indication that the storm was approaching (some purple/gray clouds in distance)… but those turned darker, and darker, and eventually, black… and there was lots of lightening.  All very exciting.  But we got it all in – pretty much 5 min before the skies opened.
